The world our young people live in has changed and will continue to change dramatically. Parents and children ages 10-18, join Dr. David Olshine as he shares with us insights on how to understand and communicate with your pre-teen/teenager more effectively. There will also be breakout sessions specifically for students led by Trevor Miller.

DR. DAVID OLSHINEDavid is currently the director of the youth ministry program at Columbia International University's Bible College Division. A former youth pastor, he has worked with teenagers for more than 25 years. In addition to teaching, he travels extensively speaking to young people, youth workers and parents of teens. He and his wife Rhonda live in Columbia, South Carolina and have two children, Rachel and Andrew.
TREVOR MILLERTrevor is currently the Junior High pastor at Eastlake Community Church in Irmo, South Carolina. He has been serving in youth ministry for over 6years and has just recently started Big Rock Outfitters, a company specialiZing in leading students in outdoor wilderness experiences. He is married to Jenna Miller and has a dog named Tozer.

Merge is a place where middle school students gather together to worship God and grow in their faith. One aspect of Merge is that each student is offered the opportunity to be a part of a cell group where they can connect with each other and their cell group leader and discuss their faith on a real leve. Come and be a part of what God is doing at Merge!

There is no easy way to define the Gathering, but here are some words to describe it: amazing, ridiculous, inspiritn, spontaneous, straight-up awesome, and WOW! We get together every week to engage in worship and discuss the truth we find in Scripture.

Avenue Skate Park
A new night for all skating grades 6-12! Come hang out and chill with Chuck. A skater registration must be on file to skate˜get one from the Avenue office. New students interested should bring a parent or legal guardian on their first visit. Helmets are required.
If you are a student and love to sing/play an instrument, then this is the place for you. You will get various opportunities to serve for Merge, Backyard, retreats, camps and main worship celebrations.

The Avenue Stage Area
A Taeyudo martial arts program teaching Japanese, Korean and Chinese techniques using a Korean base. You will learn self defense as well as how to build confidence and motivation in yourself. Teaching will be tied to learning with a faith message given each week. Classes are free and continuing students will have a one time cost of $150 for the uniform, pads and curriculum.
