The Avenue Street Team is a promotion team consisting of teens and adults. Our purpose is to advertise for our Christian rock concerts held at the Avenue. Advertising is done in the following ways:
- Placing flyers on cars at other area concerts, various shopping centers, sporting event parking lots, handing out flyers at school and work, etc.
- Placing posters in business windows, restaurants, bulletin boards, etc. and handing out flyers for distribution at these places.
- Advertising on the internet through emails, chatrooms, chat profiles, message boards, websites, etc.
- Making phone calls and word of mouth.
It is helpful, but not necessary, for you to have some knowledge of who the bands are that are appearing in the concerts and what some of their music is about. Your commitment to the street team is vital for the team to succeed. This is done by staying in touch with the team leader about what you have done, through email and by phone. Team meetings are held each month. Below are listed the current requirements for each team member:
- A certain amount of team events consisting of passing out concert flyers and posters are required each month for each concert. This may vary from concert to concert.
- There will be a certain date each month (cutoff date) that each team member will be required to have their first event recorded by.
- Each team member is required to post a designated amount of concert posters in various locations so that large amounts of people will see them. Report the locations to the leader.
- Attending the monthly team meetings is important for you to stay in touch with updates or changes being made.
- Each team member will be required to fill out a medical release form and have it read and signed by their parents before taking part in any team group event.
There are benefits to being on the Avenue Street Team. These benefits include:
